Derived from paraffin, our Gel Wax is a versatile and decorative option for your candle-making needs. Perfect for creating beautiful, transparent candles in clear glass votives, it can be customized with colors, fragrances, and decorative materials for unique and stunning results.
Directions for Use: Melt in a bain-marie or wax melter: Ensure even and controlled heating. Use our PGS series wicks with metal base: Provides stability and optimal burning. Melt gel wax at 100°C: Achieve the ideal consistency. If adding color and fragrance, add at 90°C: Maintain clarity with a fragrance load of 0.5-1% (higher fragrance load can make the gel wax opaque). Add any decorative material in votive before pouring wax: Ensure materials are heat and fire resistant and do not melt at high temperatures. Leave to solidify for at least 1 hour: Allow the wax to set properly. Safety Measures: Avoid burns from melted gel wax: Handle with care and use protective equipment. Monitor temperature closely: Gel wax is safe and non-toxic at room temperature but can become flammable at temperatures over 145°C. Always use a thermometer and have fire extinguishers or sand available in case of fire. Use gloves and goggles: Protect your skin and eyes while handling hot gel wax. In case of contact with eyes/skin: Wash thoroughly with water to prevent irritation. |
